Contract type: 12-Month Fixed-Term contract
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our team at LASER Energy, playing a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the energy data used to support public sector customers. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, with responsibility for identifying data issues, resolving discrepancies and helping customers better understand their consumption, costs and carbon emissions.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about data with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is interested in developing their knowledge of energy data, utility billing and carbon reporting.

Why this role matters
You will play a key role in protecting the quality and reliability of customer data, ensuring energy information is accurate, complete and processed within agreed timescales.
This is a role where analytical judgement, attention to detail and collaboration are essential, with responsibility for investigating data issues and managing them through to resolution. Your work will support accurate reporting and help public sector organisations manage their utility consumption, costs and carbon emissions effectively.
What you’ll be doing
· Importing and maintaining customer data within the Bureau database
· Validating invoices, site changes, meter changes and associated records
· Reviewing large datasets to identify missing, duplicate or inaccurate information
· Investigating data gaps, anomalies and discrepancies through to resolution
· Managing data queries with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
· Tracking corrective actions and maintaining clear records of resolved issues
· Completing quality checks to ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose
· Communicating data quality concerns that could affect customer reporting or service delivery
· Identifying opportunities to improve data controls, processes and ways of working
· Supporting the testing and adoption of systems and tools that improve data quality and efficiency
What we’re looking for
· A-Levels or an equivalent qualification
· Experience of delivering customer reporting outputs to tight schedules
· A good understanding of the energy industry is advantageous
· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Some experience managing large datasets accurately and within agreed timescales would be a bonus
· Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
· A resilient, adaptable and self-motivated approach
· Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
