Account Manager
Location: Kings Hill / Hybrid
Salary/package: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
As an Account Manager at EiS, you will work with schools and education organisations across Kent, acting as a trusted point of contact for a range of managed IT services including connectivity, cloud and technology solutions. You will build lasting relationships, support customer retention and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
The Account Manager will work closely with customers and teams across EiS, providing a responsive and consistent service. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established customer portfolio while developing your knowledge of education and technology services.

Why this role matters
The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with education customers. By understanding each customer’s priorities, the Account Manager will help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention while identifying suitable opportunities for growth.
The Account Manager will also act as an important link between customers and internal teams at EiS. Strong communication, sound judgement and a practical approach to resolving issues will be essential.
What you’ll be doing
Managing a portfolio of education customers across Kent.
Building positive and long-lasting relationships with customer contacts.
Keeping in regular contact with customers to understand their needs and priorities.
Upsell and cross-sell new products and services developed by EIS and aligned to DfE best practice.
Creating, updating and managing customer account plans.
Supporting customer retention and identifying appropriate opportunities for account growth.
Introducing customers to relevant EiS products and services.
Supporting customers with connectivity, broadband and cloud solutions while helping them navigate emerging technologies such as AI.
Working with internal teams to maintain service quality and resolve customer concerns.
Monitoring customer spend, account performance and growth opportunities.
Identifying potential risks and escalating concerns when appropriate.
Preparing regular account updates to support informed decision making.
Gathering customer insight to help EiS improve and develop its IT services.
Working with sales, marketing, onboarding and service delivery teams to provide a consistent customer experience.
Visiting education customers across Kent when required.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience as an Account Manager or within customer success, customer retention or relationship management.
Experience within education, technology or IT services would be useful but is not essential.
Experience of managing a portfolio of customers or high-value customer relationships
The ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Good commercial awareness and confidence identifying growth opportunities.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
The ability to manage customer concerns and find practical solutions.
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
An understanding of customer spend, account performance or profitability.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to customer sites across Kent.
The successful Account Manager will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
