Why this role matters
The Business Support Administrator will be responsible for providing efficient, customer‑focused administrative support that enables the Kent Teach team to deliver its recruitment services smoothly. It ensures schools receive timely help with advertising, billing and technical queries, while maintaining accurate data and strong communication. By keeping processes organised and responsive, the role directly supports a positive experience for schools, job seekers and internal colleagues.
What you’ll be doing
Support schools in advertising vacancies and provide basic technical guidance on using the Kent‑Teach website.
Administer customer package changes and set up new school accounts including collecting required data and notifying billing teams.
Maintain accurate customer information and record user feedback to support service improvement.
Use office systems consistently and apply updated processes from training or briefings to improve team efficiency.
Build effective working relationships with internal HR colleagues and external customers through clear, professional communication.
Process invoices and track budget commitments including billing for customer packages and ad‑hoc charges.
Manage and prioritise own workload, handling routine and unexpected tasks flexibly to meet business needs.
Respond to customer queries via email and phone, resolving routine issues and escalating complex ones appropriately.
Support the team’s social media activity to help run Kent‑Teach platforms day‑to‑day.
Create meeting agendas and take minutes for weekly and monthly team meetings.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience working in an office environment with the ability to handle routine and unexpected tasks professionally.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, schools and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across administrative tasks.
Confident IT user with solid Microsoft Office skills and the ability or willingness to use Content Management Systems.
Professional, customer‑focused attitude providing clear support and maintaining high service standards.
